Why Do Bad Things Happen?

So, I’ve wanted to talk about this topic for a while, but didn’t know if I should, or how it would be received if I did, but here it goes anyway.

Why do bad things happen to good people?
Why does it appear that No good deed goes unpunished?
Why do good guys finish last most of the time?
Why do good girls and women go after bad guys, but good guys stay in the friend zone?

So, let me preference this whole topic by stating that if you are agnostic or atheist, you’re not going to agree with what I say in this article, so you might want to leave or stop reading now.

I know a lot of people who have had bad things happen, and they are good people. Everyone who has things happen to them asks the same question, “Why me?”

Is it karma? Is it justice? Is it just bad luck? We all ask ourselves these same questions, but are we asking the right questions? Do the things that happen to us have anything to do with the actions we display, or are things just random? Is there something that controls all the situations we face in life, or because we live on the Earth, do things just occur because they occur?

I have given this a lot of thought especially as of late with all the doom and gloom things that have been happening; especially with the Sept 23rd event happening in the stars and only seen from Israel, and with all the celestial events over the last two years, something is up. Even the people who don’t believe in supernatural events can feel something is going on. So, lets address the situation as I see it.

  1. It is a known fact that people sow what they reap. No question, no choice, no getting away from it.
  2. Karma is real, fate is real, God is real, and belief is real!
  3. You can’t out give God.
  4. It doesn’t matter if you believe in God, He knows who you are and He believes in you!
  5. We are in a dispensation of Grace under Jesus Christ, not the law which was given by Moses. The law was given to bring man to an end to himself; to know that Jesus was needed for salvation.
  6. Actions don’t dictate circumstances because God is punishing you. Actions generate their own circumstances. People give way too much credit to the devil or God when they need to accept their own repercussions for their actions.

Of course, this is directed towards people who believe in a higher power. And, people who are believers in God. In order for you to believe this stuff that I’m writing, you have to concede that there is a God, and that He actually knows who you are, and cares what is going on in your life.

So, does that mean that we have no say in our lives, that there is some big puppet master pulling all the strings in our lives; and just like a bully kid with a magnifying glass holding it on ants, is that what God does to us? No, I don’t think so. I think we suffer the consequences of our actions. I also think that we life in an imperfect body and life. We are still not perfected, so, bad things happen and we all try to get as good as we can get. We all want to do the right thing, at the right time, and for the right reason. But, there are times when we are just not able to get past bad circumstances, and resentments, and anger.

So, we all need healing, we all need love, forgiveness, hope, peace, and to be able to get rid of bitter roots in their lives. We all need to believe, to trust in the good, to believe in something bigger than ourselves, and to trust that the God we believe in knows what He is doing, even if it doesn’t appear to be so, but having the faith to believe that everything that happens; happens because God allows it for the greater good. We cannot see how tragedy helps us, or how death benefits us, or why we are not healed when we look up and pray, but He does know what He is doing. I have to believe that because I have nowhere else to go. I believe in God, I believe in Good, and God has proven Himself to me in many different situations. I don’t always understand why, but He always brings me through.
